Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.
This occurrence is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
