For the third consecutive evening, law enforcement in Ireland have faced an onslaught of stones and fireworks in Dublin.

A large crowd of protesters assembled near the gate of a hotel housing individuals seeking refuge in a western district of the metropolis.

This represents the latest evening of protests at the location following an alleged sexual assault involving a young girl near the building in the early hours on the start of the week.

A man in his twenties, whose identity cannot be disclosed due to standard procedures in such cases, appeared in the judicial system on the following day facing allegations in relation to the reported occurrence.

Several detentions took place during the significant disorder on Tuesday night, and the national law enforcement vowed a “firm reaction” if the violence continued.

Between the early evening hours on Wednesday, a multitude of participants once more confronted approximately 40 uniformed officers.

The initial personnel were replaced by the public order unit outfitted with protective gear and extra body protection after being struck from various thrown objects.

Some protesters continued to throw assorted items at the officers on site.

Destructive acts also took place around the nearby transit station, which is adjacent to the street occupied by the protesters.

Specialized units pushed the assembly further from the hotel by moving forward with their protective barriers.

A mounted unit and a dog unit were present at the location, with a police helicopter providing overhead surveillance.

At least one member was affected by an irritant, and those participating in the disorder also attempted to obstruct police vehicles using metal obstructions.

While Monday night’s protest ended without major issues, a female officer was hurt during Tuesday’s violence and later discharged from medical care after treatment for a foot injury.

A police vehicle was also set on fire during the earlier disturbances in the period.

The senior officer, who inspected the scene following the events, stated on that day that he was “resolved” to see further individuals face legal proceedings to answer for their conduct.

He described the disorder as not a peaceful protest and added, “This was aggression with the intent to damage the Citywest building and frighten those inside.”

The head of government denounced the acts of hostility, asserting there could be “no excuse” for assaults on police personnel.

Those gathered were observed displaying national flags, chanting anti-immigration phrases, and launching missiles.

There were also attempts to charge the police line using horse-drawn carts and scrambler bikes on Tuesday, and a police helicopter overhead was aimed at with lasers.
